On-The-Job Training (OJT) For Businesses
Boost Your Business with On-the-Job Training (OJT) Through the WIOA Program
Looking to reduce hiring and training costs while building a skilled workforce? Our Workforce Development Partner offers an opportunity for business owners like you to take advantage of the On-the-Job Training (OJT) program, part of the WIOA initiative. With OJT, you can receive wage reimbursement while training new hires or promoting existing employees.
What is OJT?
Eligible businesses can qualify for up to 50% wage reimbursement for new hires or promoted employees requiring additional training, provided they meet the following criteria:
- Receive hands-on training through meaningful work.
- Are hired or promoted through the WIOA program.
- Earn at least $17 per hour.
- Work a minimum of 32 hours per week.
For businesses hiring individuals currently receiving EDD Unemployment Insurance Benefits due to downsizing or business closure, the wage reimbursement increases to 90% under the same qualifying conditions.
Why Participate in OJT?
- Significant Cost Savings: Save 50% of wages for up to 480 hours (approximately 3 months).
- Training with Reimbursement: Equip employees with new, in-demand skills while reducing hiring and training costs.
- HR Support: Enjoy unlimited access to a free HR Hotline for expert advice.
Take advantage of this program to improve your workforce and increase efficiency while keeping costs down.
